We titled this group, "Group Name Here" as we could not think of anything else to describe the group we would like to put together. We had thought that once we started meeting and seeing where this takes us we would change it buuuuut, have decided not to. We love the name and so do most of our members! We find it funny and quirky! We find that is draws the right kind of people to us, those who dont get it just won't join. :) We are starting this group because...well we know it sounds cliche …

Ride your bicycle or take a hike with or without the group. You can stop by, say hello, visit, and plan activities with others. We camp at places that have trees, …

The Lone Star Hiking Trail Conservancy is a non-profit organization sponsoring outings primarily on the Lone Star Hiking Trail (LSHT) in the Sam Houston National Forest and other hiking trails in Texas. We are an American Hiking Society Alliance member. A National Forest is more primitive than a city park and even a State Park. The LSHT is a "footpath only" trail that begins just South of Richards, TX and runs across I-45 just North of Huntsville State Park and ends Northwest of Cleveland, Texas …

This group is dedicated to guys who enjoy camping in tents - not RV's. Although there may be a little "car camping", the focus will include hiking or backpacking to get to a primitive site. Camping within access to water for swimming is desired, but not required. Occasionally camping in conjunction with kayaking or canoeing will be included. We will minimize the number of tents by having as many guys per tent as reasonable. Typically 4 guys in a 4-man tent. We want camaraderie not tent city. No …
